Sharyl Eisenstein is an associate attorney with a litigation-focused practice emphasizing family law, guardianships, and high-conflict matters. She joined the Zanck, Coen, Wright & Saladin, PC, in 2025, bringing nearly two decades of experience as a prosecutor. Sharyl provides a steady, trauma-informed approach to clients navigating some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

Sharyl’s practice is grounded in thorough preparation, practical strategy, and an unwavering focus on achieving fair and just outcomes, whether through litigation or negotiation. Sharyl ensures clients feel heard, understood, and supported throughout the legal process.

Before entering private practice, Sharyl spent almost 20 years with the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office, serving as a Special Prosecutor. She focused primarily on crimes against children, sexual assault, domestic violence, and other violent offenses. She handled a high volume of hearings and trials and managed complex, high-stakes cases requiring careful preparation and strong courtroom advocacy.

Sharyl also has extensive experience working on matters involving juveniles. While working as a supervisor of the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Juvenile Division, she handled juvenile abuse, neglect, and delinquency matters and was assigned to the Child Advocacy Center to review offenses.

Sharyl is also currently on the McHenry County Guardian ad Litem list. She has participated in family violence and human trafficking task forces and advisory councils focused on protecting children and vulnerable individuals.

Sharyl and her family live in McHenry County. She has hosted exchange students from around the world and enjoys gardening in her free time. She is proud to have had her garden featured on the McHenry County Master Gardeners’ Garden Walk.

Notable Cases

People v. Robert Gould: Defendant found guilty of multiple counts of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child against multiple victims following a jury trial and multiple motion hearings. Defendant was sentenced to 126 years in prison.
